Chang'e-6 Samples May Contain Primitive Lunar Crust Components
Researchers from the National Space Science Center (NSSC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have identified 51 pristine anorthosite outcrops in the Apollo Basin through systematic analysis. Distributed across the basin's northern/southern rims, floor, and central peak ring, these findings suggest samples retrieved by Chang'e-6 potentially contain anorthosite representing the Moon's primordial crust.
