The "Sanxia No.1," the largest-tonnage inland river research vessel in China's Yangtze River basin, was officially delivered and commissioned by the Three Gorges Corporation Basin Management Center. With a length of 56.7 meters, beam of 9.8 meters, depth of 3.5 meters and maximum designed speed of 24 km/h, the vessel features specialized functional areas including sampling rooms, dry/wet laboratories and seminar rooms, capable of real-time automated monitoring of 11 water environment parameters during navigation while coordinating data transmission and integration with land laboratories, truly earning its reputation as a "mobile lab on water”.
