Recently, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and BYD Auto Industry Company Limited (BYD) launched the HKUST-BYD Embodied Al Joint Lab. BYD will invest several million Hong Kong dollars over the next few years to support the operation of the laboratory, Research initiatives will focus on data-centric embodied intelligence frameworks, including optimized sensor data harvesting and navigation model training. The partners will also advance cooperation in autonomous driving to enhance the safety of high-level self-driving technologies.
