Starting from June 12, 2025, Indonesian citizens can benefit from China’s 144-hour visa-free transit policy, bringing the total number of eligible countries to 55.
Currently, citizens from the following 55 countries, holding valid international travel documents and confirmed onward air tickets with fixed dates and seats, can transit through China to a third country or region. They may enter China visa-free through any of the 60 designated ports across 24 provincial-level regions, such as Beijing and Shanghai. During their stay, they are permitted to engage in tourism, business, visits, or family visits for no more than 10 days. However, activities requiring prior approval, such as work, study, or news reporting, still require appropriate visas.
