Beijing, April 25 (Youth.cn) - On April 23, 2025, the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center hosted a spectacular drone light show as a tribute to China's aerospace endeavors. The event coincided with the approaching 55th anniversary of the successful launch of China's first artificial Earth satellite, Dongfanghong-1, on April 24, 1970. Titled "Soaring to Realize Dreams, Lunar Exploration with Us," the China Space Day-themed performance was staged near the historic Dongfanghong Satellite Launch Tower at the center.
Over a thousand drones dynamically recreated landmark moments in China's aerospace history through luminous formations, tracing the nation's journey from its maiden satellite launch to contemporary lunar exploration programs. The choreographed display illuminated the night sky above the desert launch complex, symbolizing both past achievements and future aspirations in space exploration. Photo/CFP
