Beijing, October 12 (Youth.cn) - Photo taken in an intelligent farm in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on October 9th. During a digital agriculture experience exchanging meeting, over 100 representatives went to Fangqun Intelligent Farm to know about the digital agricultural operations and to think about how to promote digital agriculture in rural regions.
The intelligent farm that they visited is a national demonstration project of digital cotton-planting. Through technology upgrading, one person can manage almost all agricultural activities in a 2000-mu cotton land, including watering, fertilization and insecticide spraying. It is estimated that the water-saving rate and fertilizer-saving rate can respectively reach 10% to 20% and 5% to 15% by applying digital agricultural methods, while the increase in agricultural output can reach as much as 20kg per mu and economize 200 RMB cost per mu.
These years, based on intelligent agricultural service platform, the intelligent farm have managed to collect farm environment data and upload them to database through advanced internet communication methods, automatic control and software technologies. Agricultural management process has been refined. It becomes a nice try of digital agriculture practise in Xinjiang and leads rural revitalization. Photo/VCG
