Beijing, October 11 (Youth.cn) - The 14th Chinese Folk Art Festival opened in Ruijin City, Jiangxi Province on October 10th. Art troupes from Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Shaanxi, Guizhou, Liaoning and other provinces performed on stage and served audiences an audiovisual feast. The festival was organized by Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association and Jiangxi Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Final reviews of art performances that won Chinese Mountain Flower Award (an award to praise excellent folk art), a round-table conference of famous folk artists, an exhibition of Jiangxi traditional handcrafts, and several public performances of traditional art will take place in this year’s folk art festival. Art troupes will perform in scenic spots, communities and campus to enrich people’s cultural life. The Chinese Folk Art Festival is a series of nationwide folk art activities that gathered achievements of China’s folk literature and art.
