Beijing, September 29 (Youth.cn) - “Deep Blue Marveils; Special Exhibition of Archaeological Discoveries from the No. 1 and No.2 shipwrecks on the Northwest Contimental Slope of South China Sea” opened in the South China Sea Museum in Hainan Province on September 27th. The exhibition is guided by Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports of Hainan Province, and co-organized by Institute of Deep Sea Science and Engineering of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hainan Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and South China Sea Museum. 408 sets of relics from the two shipwrecks were exhibited, together with 34 exhibits from the Palace Museum, totally 442 sets of relics were exhibited this time. The ruins of the No. 1 and No.2 shipwrecks on the Northwest Contimental Slope of South China Sea were rated as one of ten new archaeology discoveries in China in 2023.
