Beijing, May 30 (Youth.cn) - On May 28th, Zan Xiaoting, a graduate student of Art and Design College of Xi’an University of Technology, introduced her photograph works and her story in her hometown.
At the graduate art work exhibition, 12 of 3000 photos taken by her were exhibited. A photo shows child was sitting beside rock wall of the village, another photo shows an old man was holding a flower in mountain. Child playing in field, pigs with their little piggies, nests in trees, working old man under big tree, lush Toon trees, people mourn the dead on Qingming Festival... These photos show almost every aspects of rural life.
The photographer said that all these photos were taken in her grandmother’s village, her hometown in Lintong District, Xi’an city, just at the foot of Qinling Mountains. She said: ”Nowadays, most habitats there were old people, young people went to town and did not choose to stay at their village. After my grandfather’s death, my grandmother also moved to the town where my uncle lives. At that time, I felt nostalgia, and I was worrying about memories of the village would also disappeared with the time goes by. For this reason, I raise an idea to record all details about the village with my camera.” Photo/VCG
