Beijing, February 22 (Youth.cn) - On February 21st, 2024, in Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, a solar halo phenomenon was observed above Baigetobe Village in Chemurkeqi Town, Altay City.
A solar halo, also known as a circular rainbow, is an atmospheric optical phenomenon that occurs when sunlight is refracted or reflected by ice crystals in cirrus clouds. When light enters the ice crystals within the cirrus clouds, it undergoes two refractions and disperses into various colors in different directions. Photo/ VCG
