Chengdu, November 23 (Youth.cn), (Trainee reporter: Li Yuanyuan; Reporter: Song Jixiang, Li Yongpeng) On November 24, the Chengdu culture exploration activity prior to the "Touching Civilization - Asian Youth Creator Conference" hosted by China Youth Daily, and organized by China Youth Network, came to a successful conclusion.
During the activity, six young people from China, Japan, Cambodia, India, Mongolia and Vietnam visited local historical and cultural blocks, the Giant Panda National Park, and trendy commercial bases, capturing the fashion nature of the ancient city of Chengdu with their lenses and footsteps. Marveling at the beautiful scenery of the park city under the snow-capped mountains and experiencing the happy life of Chengdu residents, they successfully completed the cultural-tourism-themed activity.

Inside the Chengdu Ancient Shu Brocade Research Institute located in Shuangliu District, Chengdu, the sound of weaving brocade can be heard all over the room, with workers performing jacquard knitting and shuttle looms weaving and picking. "I just know the 'Jin' in 'Blossoms covered Jin'guan Town' means brocade." Creator HOANG THU HANG from Vietnam witnessed the production process of the national intangible cultural heritage, "Shu Brocade", which has a history of over 2,000 years. In front of the camera, HOANG THU HANG kept introducing the exquisite Sichuan brocade artworks to netizens in Vietnamese, and sought advice from Hu Guangjun, the director of the Institute on the craftsmanship and history of Sichuan brocade.
"Sichuan Opera is not only for China, but also for the world." Ms. Chen Ying, one of the founders of Sanhua Sichuan Opera Troupe, introduced to Cambodian creator THEAM KIMHEAK that they were dedicated to the inheritance of Sichuan Opera throughout their lives. Faced with difficulties such as aging audience, the troupe has suffered losses for years and was once on the verge of bankruptcy. Thanks to the rising of new media, short videos recording stories on and off the stage have been widely disseminated on various platforms, leading to the revival of the troupe. After learning about the culture of Sichuan Opera, THEAM KIMHEAK said, "The performance of Sichuan Opera is really wonderful, the costumes are beautiful, and the actors' voices are impressive! It's fortunate that the Troupe was able to be reborn."

At the foot of Qingcheng Mountain, BAT-AMGALAN DANZANDOLGOR, the creator from Mongolia, and HONZAWA YUI, the creator from Japan, experienced a "journey through time" during this activity. In the Dujiangyan Breeding and Wild Release Research Center (Panda Valley) of Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, HOANG THU HANG was dazzled by a stunning array of panda image signs and plush toys such as panda pendants, bags, and headbands.

As the hometown of "Gong Zai", the creative prototype of "Kung Fu Panda 2", the Panda Valley has gained HOANG THU HANG's recognition with many details. "Look, the staff have been patrolling with the sign reading 'No noise'. This is the floor mat to disinfect the feet of visitors entering the viewing area. This is the panda wild training station." HOANG THU HANG said that through this trip, she has gained a deeper understanding of Chengdu. "I thought it was just a scenic spot for observing pandas, but I didn’t expect that generations of staff here have done so much to protect endangered wild animals."
In the hometown of Li Jieren, a master in literature, the ancient Chengdu elements integrate harmoniously with trendy blocks at the Dongmen Town Cultural Block, where historical scenes are maintained and consumption scenes enriched. The charm of intangible cultural heritage techniques such as ear cleaning, sugar painting, and kung fu tea, combined with the twinkling neon lights along the street, showcases the perfect integration of food and culture, emitting strong cultural heritage of Chengdu.
A total of 30 young creators from 14 Asian countries, including China, were invited to the event, and the preliminary culture exploration activities were held simultaneously in 5 cities, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Guizhou, Chengdu and Xi'an. Through activities such as culture exploration, video creation, and conference exchanges, young people will deepen their understanding of China and impression of Chinese civilization.
