Beijing, October 25 (Youth.cn) - On October 25th, 2023, in Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Pamirs Plateau was presented.
The total area of the Pamirs Plateau is around 100,000 square kilometers, with the part within China situated in its eastern region, mainly within the Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture and Kashgar Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, covering an area of approximately 28,500 square kilometers. This mountainous plateau, encircled by the grandeur of nature, offers diverse flora and fauna and a rich human history. Its beautiful landscapes include high mountains, grasslands, snow-capped peaks, lakes, and the expanse of blue skies as well as white clouds, which attract numerous tourists from both home and abroad for sightseeing.
