On September 7th, 2023, 18 students and 1 teacher fromKorkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Kazakhstan arrived in Hubei University of Education and started their journey of study in China. This is the first time HUE has admitted students from Kazakhstan. 

In order to help these students adapt to campus life, HUE has arranged a variety of international student orientation week activities, including getting to know university history, introduction to Chinese culture, lecture on international student psychology and immigration regulations, academic planning, Optical Valley cultural tour and etc.. Volunteers from the School of Chinese Language and Literature have arranged a one-to-one support pair with the international students to help them get familiar with the campus environment and improve their Chinese language skills. 

Professor Yang Xianlan,the University Party Secretary，hopes that the teacher and students will become envoys of friendship between China and Kazakhstan. She encourages the students to study hard and enjoy the various teaching and practical activities of the university. “HUE is beautiful and HUE people are friendly.” said Ms. MUBILAN ASSEMKANKYZY the teacher.
