Beijing, August 17 (Youth.cn) - On August 16th, 2023, in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, herds of deer were seen running and foraging in the Tiaozini Wetland of Dongtai City, presenting a picturesque ecological scene.
In recent years, the Tiaozini Wetland scenic area in Yancheng, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, has intensified its ecological protection efforts. Coupled with the presence of freshwater and extensive tender grass, the deer population has rapidly grown from around 50 initially discovered in 2020 to nearly 900 at present. With the improving ecological environment of the Tiaozini Wetland, it is anticipated that more deer will come here for breeding.
