Since the beginning of this year, Lianyungang Port in Jiangsu Province has been aiming to increase its throughput and has been working diligently towards the goal of becoming a "mega port in the east with ten million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units)." According to statistics, from January to July, Lianyungang Port has completed a cargo throughput of 175.08 million tons, an increase of 10.97% compared to the same period last year. The container throughput reached 3.34 million TEUs, showing a significant growth of 15.91% year on year.
