Beijing, July 10 (Youth.cn) -On July 10th, 2023, in Qingdao, the integrated testing and commissioning work officially commenced for the Laixi to Rongcheng section of Weifang-Rongcheng High-speed Railway.

Laixi to Rongcheng section of Weifang-Rongcheng High-speed Railway is located in the southeast part of the Jiaodong Peninsula in Shandong Province. The line starts from Lai'xi in Qingdao and extends to Rongcheng in Weihai, with a total length of 193 kilometers and seven stations. Designed for a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour, it serves as a connecting line for the coastal corridor of the national "Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals" high-speed railway network and is an important part of the Shandong "Four Horizontals, Six Verticals, and Three Loops" high-speed railway network. It is also a major passenger transportation channel in the Jiaodong Peninsula region.
