Ardent Wishes Encourage the Young People to Fly Their Dreams in the Realization of the Chinese Dream
At his youth, Xi once set foot on the yellow land and painted his picture scroll with his persistence and personal accountability. Now, as the leader of a state, he still and especially cares about youths. His inculcation and ardent exhort are nurturing the hearts of numerous youths like the breeze and dew in the spring.
Since the Eighteenth National People's Congress, Xi has more than once written back to different youth groups. Apart from showing his solicitude for youths, Xi also encourages them to seek for the directions of life and strive for a bright future.
December, 2013, Xi wrote back to “Benyu Volunteer Service Team” of Huazhong Agriculture University and warmly praised their “sought directions and goals of life”; When wrote back to Zhang Guangxiu, a suffering college-graduate village official of Yantai city, Xi encouraged her and other college-graduate village officials to “promote the rural development, benefit peasants and feel no regrets for their youth”; on the eve of Chinese Youth Day, 2014, Xi wrote back to the representatives of Baoding College graduate groups who were carrying out volunteer teaching in the west, hoping that they could “create different and colorful lives in the great practice of realizing the Chinese dream, let the flowers of youth burst into blooms in the most-needed area of our motherland”.
Apart from keeping up regular correspondence with young people, Xi also not only has many intimate contacts with them, but also shares his experiences and lessons , giving them valuable guidance and advice by combining his own life experiences.
On Chinese Youth Day in 2013, Xi went to China Academy of Space Technology, CASC to encourage young people to learn skills and take on duties by his own experiences. “I set a motto “One should feel hungry for knowledge and ashamed for his being ignorant “to myself in order to start my life from cultivating moral characters after I went to live and work in the countryside.” Xi said.
On May 4, 2014, China welcomed its 95th anniversary of the May 4th movement. At this time, President Xi came to Peking University. On the forum with teachers and students, Xi emphasized, “we should cultivate and fulfill the core socialist values among the younger generations”. He added, “to achieve our development goal and the Chinese Dream, we must enhance our confidence on Chinese path, confidence on Chinese theory and confidence on Chinese system. ‘Human beings can become more tough after being tempered for many times’. Our determination on core values supports the ‘three confidence’.”
