【#Tech24H】Recently, ByteDance's Doubao and Alibaba’s Tongyi Qianwen almost simultaneously announced that their respective agent features will be officially taken offline in the near future. This marks the first time in the AI industry that two major platforms have “redflagged” the same core function on the same day. Doubao platform issued a notice stating that, due to product function adjustments, its agent feature will be officially shut down on July 15, 2026. From then on, users will no longer be able to create new agents, nor will they be able to invoke or run any previously created and saved agents. Acting in tandem with Doubao, Alibaba’s Qianwen also made an announcement. According to the Qwen platform, due to functional upgrades and maintenance, its anthropomorphic interactive agents and usercreated agent features will be officially taken offline on July 10, 2026. At that time, users will no longer have access to the configuration information or historical chat logs of the related agents. [ By Zhang Liyan | Tang Ruohan ]
