【#Tech24H】Astronomers have discovered that a celestial body akin to Pluto has an atmosphere with a density roughly one five-millionth to one ten-millionth that of Earth’s atmosphere. They speculate that this atmosphere might be sustained by gases from cryovolcanic eruptions, or might be a transient phenomenon formed by material released after a recent impact by a comet-like object. This suggests that even relatively small bodies at the edge of the solar system can possess an atmosphere, at least for some period. [ By Zhang Liyan | Tang Ruohan ]
