
【#Tech24H】On May 5, China’s first research vessel built with private capital, the “Haiying Jiake”, was completed and launched in Songmen Town, Wenling City, Zhejiang Province. The vessel, financed with approximately 150 million yuan by private investors, has a total length of 82 meters, a planned full-load displacement of 3,500 tons, a range of 10,000 nautical miles, and endurance exceeding 60 days, with the capability to conduct multidisciplinary comprehensive research in unlimited navigation areas. The investors are 37 fishermen from Wenling, Zhejiang. Construction of the “Haiying Jiake” officially began on March 17, 2025.
