【#Tech24H】At MODEX 2026, the international logistics exhibition held in Atlanta, USA, Cainiao Group unveiled its first self-developed “climbing robot”, ZeeBot. Designed specifically for warehouse environments, the robot has a flexible structure. It can move horizontally at speeds of up to 4 meters per second and also climb directly up shelves to retrieve and store goods, breaking the traditional separation between ground-level transport and vertical operations in high-bay warehouses. According to Cainiao, compared to other automated warehouses, those using climbing robots see a 40% improvement in storage space utilization. With modular design and improved deployment efficiency, warehouses gain greater scalability and flexibility.
