【#Tech24H】The first AI scientist, “The AI Scientist,” has been featured in the authoritative scientific journal Nature. Developed by a research team from Sakana AI, the University of Oxford, and the University of British Columbia, the AI Scientist is a comprehensive AI system for automated scientific research and open-ended discovery, achieving full automation of the scientific research process for the first time. Notably, one of the papers it generated successfully passed peer review at the ICLR workshop, a top-tier machine learning conference. This achievement demonstrates the potential for AI systems to independently conduct scientific research and represents a potential profound transformation in scientific research paradigms.
