【#Tech24H】Standing inside the decommissioned Seaholm Power Plant, an old power station in Austin, Elon Musk officially announced his long-planned Terafab project. The chip manufacturing plant, with a planned investment of 20 billion US dollars, will be located in Austin, Texas, adjacent to Tesla’s existing Gigafactory Texas. It will be jointly operated by Tesla and SpaceX, with xAI also participating in the project. Musk has set a goal for the plant: to produce chips with a total computing capacity of 1 terawatt — equivalent to 1 million megawatts — every year.
