【#Tech24H】A video recently went viral online showing an unscripted, effect-free tennis rally between a humanoid robot and a human player. The robot demonstrated flexible on-court movement, real-time judgment, and smooth swings, engaging in multiple rounds of high-quality rallies. This humanoid robot was developed by Beijing-based Galaxy General Robotics. Its proprietary intelligent planning and control algorithm, “LATENT”, acts as a “motor cerebellum” for the robot. It enables the robot to autonomously learn movement logic from fragmented human motion information, without needing expensive motion capture data. Tests show the robot achieves a forehand shot success rate exceeding 90%, can sustain 20 consecutive rally games, and locks onto incoming balls traveling at 50 km/h within 0.1 seconds, balancing flexibility and stability.
