【#Tech24H】The Oriental Spaceport in Haiyang, Shandong, is accelerating the construction of China’s first offshore liquid rocket launch and recovery test platform. The platform is scheduled to be completed and begin debugging and trial operations around February 5. Around the Spring Festival, China's first offshore liquid rocket launch and recovery test will be conducted using this platform. The Oriental Space Port is currently China’s only commercial aerospace offshore launch hub and has previously established mature advantages in the field of solid rocket offshore launches. Currently, China’s commercial aerospace sector is rapidly transitioning from the technology verification phase to large-scale operational stages. Breakthroughs in reusable rocket technology will significantly reduce launch costs and provide ample transportation support for low-orbit satellite constellation deployment.
