
【#Tech24H】At 23:25 Beijing Time on January 13, China launched a Long March 8A carrier rocket , sending the 18th group of low-orbit internet satellites into space from the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site. The satellites entered their preset orbits smoothly, marking a complete success for the mission. Earlier that day at 22:16, China launched the Y-50 01 satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center using the Long March 6A carrier rocket. After achieving this “promising start” for space launches in 2026, China swiftly followed up with the successful launch of the 18 low-orbit satellite cluster from Hainan, accomplishing two launches in a single day and kicking off this year’s high-density launch campaign.
