【#Tech24H】The Tianlong-3 reusable rocket, developed by the Chinese commercial aerospace company Space Pioneer, is scheduled to conduct its maiden flight by the end of the year. With a total length of 72 meters and a low Earth orbit payload capacity of 17 tons, the maiden flight will focus on validating payload delivery capabilities, prioritizing reliability. Parameters such as the 72-meter length and 17-ton low Earth orbit payload capacity represent significant breakthroughs compared to the Zhuque-3 (8 tons in reusable mode) and the Long March 12A (6 tons in reusable mode). Notably, its 17-ton low Earth orbit payload capacity approaches international mainstream standards (e.g., SpaceX’s Falcon 9 with a payload capacity of approximately 23 tons), highlighting advancements in heavy-lift rocket manufacturing and reusable technology within the industry chain.
