Beijing, December 25 (Youth.cn) - On December 23, 2025, the G577 Jinghe to Yining County highway north Tianshan extra-long tunnel, invested by China Railway City Development Investment Group Co., Ltd. and constructed by China Railway First Bureau Group Co., Ltd. and China Railway Second Bureau Group Co., Ltd., was fully completed.
The tunnel, spanning 11.88 kilometers and located in Nileke County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, is a critical “throat” project of the Jinghe-Yining Highway. Vehicles can now traverse the northern range of the Tianshan Mountains in approximately 15 minutes, completely removing the transportation barrier between Nileke County and Jinghe County.
