【#Tech24H】On the morning of December 23, the Long March 12A carrier rocket carried out its maiden flight mission at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and simultaneously attempted a vertical recovery of its first stage. The launch successfully achieved the objective of sending the payload into orbit, with the rocket’s second stage reaching the intended orbit. However, the first stage failed to be successfully recovered. The flight test mission is considered fundamentally successful. As China’s second liquid oxygen-methane carrier rocket to attempt recovery on its maiden flight, this mission has accumulated valuable data and practical experience for the subsequent iteration and optimization of related technologies.
