Beijing, June 6 (Youth. cn) - On June 4, 2025, at Victoria Bay, in Qingdao - a thick carpet of green algae which was like a green coat blanketed the nearshore breakwaters at low tide. It’s said that seawater temperatures rise with the summer temperatures, which have recently reached optimal levels for algal proliferation. While such growth on coastal structures represents a normal ecological process, visitors are advised to exercise caution: algae-slicked rocks pose significant slipping hazards during tidal explorations.
