Trump’s administration has taken aim at international students: First, implement draconian screening measures over political views; Second, order all U.S embassies globally to indefinitely pause all student visa interviews last week; Then, also in last week, Marco Rubio announced that the federal government will attempt to “aggressively” revoke visas of Chinese students. Such actions severely harmed the legitimate rights and interests of students and disrupted normal culture exchanges between countries. This political and discriminatory practice exposes the hypocrisy of the United States' consistently touted claims of so-called freedom and openness.
