Beijing, May 19 (Youth.cn) -  May 18, 2025, in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, the premium "Panda Express·Chengdu" tourism train commenced its maiden voyage from Chengdu.

At 16:40 CST on May 18, the Y444 "Panda Express·Chengdu" departed slowly from Anjing Station, embarking on a 16-day "Panoramic North-South Xinjiang Grand Tour" to Kashgar Station in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, carrying 109 domestic and international travelers. This historic journey not only marks the inaugural operation of Southwest China's first panda-themed premium tourism train, but also celebrates the 15th China Tourism Day in a distinctive manner, pioneering new models for integrated tourism-transportation development.

The launch ceremony, jointly organized by Chengdu Culture Tourism Development Group and China Railway Chengdu Group under the guidance of Sichuan provincial and municipal authorities, featured immersive cultural experiences. Interactive intangible cultural heritage craft zones, Hanfu dance performances, long-spout tea art demonstrations, and traditional music recitals showcased authentic Sichuan culture. Panda mascots stole the spotlight with their endearing presence.
