Beijing, May 12 (Youth.cn) - On the evening of May 9, 2025, Wangxian Valley Scenic Area in Guangxin District, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, illuminated the night with dazzling lights. Its cliffside pavilions resembled a celestial palace descending to earth, blending Gan-style architecture (a traditional architectural style from Jiangxi), cultural elements, and diverse tourism offerings. This transformation has drawn visitors from across China.
Once an ecologically damaged abandoned mining area due to granite extraction, the site has now evolved into a national 4A-level tourist attraction. Its revival has spurred the growth of surrounding industries like homestays and rural family inns, becoming a model of ecological restoration integrated with cultural tourism. Dubbed the "real-life filming location for fantasy dramas" by netizens, it has emerged as a phenomenal destination in China's cultural tourism market. Photo/CFP
