Photo List Intangible cultural heritage inheritor made spring tea

Beijing, May 8 (Youth.cn) - Ai Engui, intangible cultural heritage inheritor, was making spring tea in an ancient city in Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province. The tea he was making is called “Niangniang Tea”, which was promulgated as one of the 6th batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage list. Its processing skill has developped for more than 300 years and was recognized as national geographical indication for agricultural products. A folklore wrote that a young Buyi girl went to a mountain, picked fresh tea leaves, made the tea and became the creator of the tea. The processing procedures include picking tea leaves, laying out the tea leaves, drying the tea leaves, rubbing, picking and stoving. Photo/CFP
