Beijing, April 30 (Youth.cn) - The Dongfeng Landing Site conducted its final full-system comprehensive drill on the 25th. All rescue forces are now prepared to receive the Shenzhou-19 astronaut crew back to Earth. Upon receiving the return capsule's landing coordinates, five helicopters from the air unit accurately touched down around the capsule. After ground teams arrived at the site, they simulated hatch-opening procedures and practiced carrying astronauts out of the capsule. Rescue personnel demonstrated rapid response and meticulous operations to ensure critical tasks - including exit timing, post-space adaptation, and medical transport - were executed with scientific rigor and zero-error precision.
This marked the last full-element comprehensive exercise for both air and ground search-and-rescue teams, comprehensively testing the landing site system's organizational coordination, operational support capabilities, capsule retrieval efficiency, and astronaut emergency response protocols. According to the mission schedule, the Shenzhou-19 crew is set to return to Earth on April 29, with Dongfeng Landing Site serving as their primary recovery zone. All preparatory work at the site has been completed, with full readiness confirmed for executing search and rescue operations. Photo/CFP
