Beijing, April 18 (Youth.cn) - On April 15, 2024, employees from the Urban Rail Branch of China Railway Fourth Bureau Group (CREC4) carried out large-scale desertification control efforts in the Tengger Desert of Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The team planted drought-resistant Corethrodendron scoparium shrubs (locally known as huabang), a keystone species for stabilizing sand dunes, across 1.08 million mu (approximately 72,000 hectares) of arid land. Photo/CFP
