Photo List 10.8 million mu of huabang planted to revitalize Tengger Desert
 

Beijing, April 18 (Youth.cn) On April 15, 2024, employees from the Urban Rail Branch of China Railway Fourth Bureau Group (CREC4) carried out large-scale desertification control efforts in the Tengger Desert of Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The team planted drought-resistant Corethrodendron scoparium shrubs (locally known as huabang), a keystone species for stabilizing sand dunes, across 1.08 million mu (approximately 72,000 hectares) of arid land. Photo/CFP
