Beijing, March 18 (Youth.cn) - On March 17, 2025, at the Shanghai LEGOLAND Resort, the world’s largest LEGO Minifigure statue, "Dada" (26 meters tall and weighing 136 tons), was officially installed. The resort’s construction has now entered its final sprint phase, with over 2,100 workers operating in staggered shifts during peak periods to ensure a summer 2025 opening.
As of now, 80% of the ride installations are complete, with 12 attractions advancing to the testing and commissioning phase. Globally innovative rides such as the LEGO Coaster and the LEGO Monkey King: Flower Fruit Mountain Adventure Ride have also begun technical trials. To create a one-of-a-kind LEGO-themed atmosphere, the park will feature 2,889 awe-inspiring LEGO models, meticulously assembled from over 85 million LEGO bricks. With 97% of the models already delivered, on-site assembly is in full swing, preparing to unveil a world brimming with LEGO imagination and creativity. Photo/CFP
