Beijing, March 11 (Youth.cn) - On March 9, 2025, in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, at Zhalong National Nature Reserve, a UNESCO wetland site and China's premier sanctuary for red-crowned cranes, the lingering winter chill creates ethereal landscapes. As early spring tentatively arrives, the marshlands remain cloaked in diamond-dusted frost, their frozen surfaces shimmering under the golden morning light. The iconic cranes, listed as Class I protected species, trumpet clarion calls that pierce the crystalline air, their crimson-crowned heads tilting skyward as they soar in synchronized aerial ballets.
