Beijing, February 10 (Youth.cn) - February 8th marks the lunar January 11th, when Miao people in Rongshui Miao Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region gathered on the slope to celebrate the coming spring. On this traditional ritual, people of Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang and other ethnic groups gathered on a slope to play the Lusheng, dance, hold folk parade to celebrate spring’s coming. The slope reunion is a traditional festival, as well as a way of entertainment of several ethnic groups. It starts from lunar January 3rd and ends on lunar January 17th. “Gathering on the slope” of Miao people was promulgated as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006.
