
Beijing, February 6 (Youth.cn) - On February 5, 2025, in Machang Town, Guian New District, Guizhou Province, tourists celebrate the Tiaohua Festival with the Miao people in the Tianba Square of the Changbian Village. The Miao people give performances, play lusheng which is a mouth organ made of bamboo pipes, do the lusheng dance, and sing folk songs to one and another, all to celebrate the festival.
The Tiaohua Festival of the Miao people is the Miao's way to pray for a good weather, an abundant harvest, and a health brood of livestock of the new year, an inseparable part of the Miao people's life. As a heritage of the minority people, the Tiaohua Festival brings unity, harmony and peace to the nation, enlisted as the second batch in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List of China.
