Beijing, January 26 (Youth.cn) - On January 25, 2025, the Spring Festival Lantern Fair of the Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area opened in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, welcoming tourists. Themed "Marvelous Guangxi, Shinning Nanning", the lantern fair combines the natural environment of the Qingxiu Mountain with the festivity of the New Snake Year, setting up various lanterns reflecting the harmony and joy of Nanning. Taking up around 926 mu (about 617 square kilometers), the lantern fair features 45 lanterns set in land, water, and lights hanging up above passageways. It is the first time for the lantern fair to feature lanterns in water, naming "Hovering Island - the Beautiful Qingxiu Mountain". Other lantern sets include expressing the blessings of the spring and resurgence "the Blessings of the Flower Goddess" large lantern set, the futuristic "Mechanic Dinosaur", and the large set on water "Majestic Peacock" which also serves as a stage for performances.
