Beijing, January 23 (Youth.cn) - On January 22, 2025, the first performance of the Year of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Snake Dances in the home of Baogong - the Sea Snake Dance Anhui Tour opens at the Hehuan Square in the Hemu Lake Park of Feidong County, Anhui Province. The 128-meter Sea Snake Lantern dances for the spring, giving the citizens a fantastic performance.

The Sea Snake Lantern dates back to the period of late Yuan and early Ming dynasty. The Sea Snake refers to the snake deity of the sea in local folklore. The dance features various moves of fascinating names like the Snake coming out of the sea as well as the pagoda of the Snake, and is favored by the local community. Photo/VCG
