Beijing, January 9 (Youth.cn) - On January 8, 2025, the section from the Jiefang Gate to the Xuanwu Gate of the 650-year-old Nanjing City Wall is under maintenance, as scaffolding can be seen. 

The section, which is around 1,400 meters long, is being treated for its bulges, holes, cracks, and weathering. Reinforcement of the wall and towers, as well as repair of the drainage system is also conducted. Photo/VCG
