Beijing, December 3 (Youth.cn) - A continuous composite beam bridge of an urban ballastless track with the largest span in China is under construction in Shanghai. Shanghai demonstration zone line, where the continuous composite beam bridge is under construction, is 52.4 kilometers long. Passing through Minhang, Qingpu districts, it has 10 stations. The maximum speed of the train will reach 160km/h. After putting into operation, the railway will serve as a transportation network that connects Shanghai main urban area, Qingpu New City, Jiashan and Wujiang. After the completion of the construction of Shanghai-Suzhou-Jiashan intercity railway, it only needs 45 minutes to travel from Jiashan or Wujiang to Shanghai Hongqiao business district. Being a part of Shanghai-Suzhou-Jiashan intercity railway, the Shanghai section is the demonstration line of Yangtze River Delta green integration development, and a key part of Shanghai urban railway network.
