Beijing, November 26 (Youth.cn) - Staffs were sowing kelp seeding on a sea ranch in Rongcheng, Shandong Province on November 25th. Boats shuttled back and forth to sow, appearing busy scene. Rongcheng, also known as "capital of kelp" in China, has 150 thousand mu of kelp culture area, supplying over 40% kelp in China. The sowing period starts from the end of November and ends in the end of December. The growth period is about 4 months. Kelp has become a pillar industry of the local fishing economy. Photo/VCG
