Photo List Black-necked cranes stay in Xigaze in winter

Beijing, November 21 (Youth.cn) - Black-necked cranes sought foods on fields in Xigaze, Xizang Autonomous Region on November 20th. Black-necked cranes are the only one in 15 species of cranes that breed and stay for winter on plateau. Promulgated in the national class-A protected animal list, they are also known as "plateau elves". The fields and wetlands in Xigaze, the intersection of Yarlung Zangbo River and Nianchu River, are the main wintering ground for black-necked cranes. Photo/VCG
