Recently, the Gaofukou Tunnel, the first tunnel over one kilometer in the Hebei section of the Xiong'an-Xinzhou High-speed Railway constructed by China Railway 18th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., was completed, laying a foundation for the full line to be opened to traffic in 2027.

The Xiong'an-Xinzhou High-speed Railway is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming corridor in the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. The main line is 342 kilometers long and designed with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The Gaofukou Tunnel has complex geological conditions and serious construction difficulties. The project team has taken various measures to ensure the completion and safety on schedule. In 2024, Hebei Province will continue to promote the construction of transportation in Xiong'an New Area and create a national demonstration model.
