Beijing, September 19 (Youth.cn) - Salt baked chicken, stew meat in soy sauce, double meat ball soup, pearl rice pancakes... To celebrate the first Meizhou rice wine culture Week, the local authority held a Hakka Dragon Feast of one hundred tables on September 16th. 100 old-fashioned square table for eight people were set to a Hakka surround dragon house shape. Start with a fire dragon performance, traditional 8 Hakka dishes and several desserts were served in the feast. Totally 800 people joined the activity. Folk songs and dances were performed during the feast. The responsible persons said that the big cultural activity aimed to make the gold-lettered signboard of “World Hakka capital - longevity Meizhou” “Cultural capital of east Asia” and “national Hakka culture ecological preservation area” known for tourists, to prosper cultural and tourism market and consumption and to help build “hundred million projects” to make it integrated to the development of Greater Bay Area.
