Beijing, September 4 (Youth.cn) - Photo taken at Seven-mile-long Shantang of Suzhou on September 3rd. Alongside the street, stand antique water-town-style architectures. Cyan roofs, old gray walls, warped eaves bring tourists to an ancient time. These architectures, as historical buildings, are great background for tourists' photos. The tourism site locates at north-west of Suzhou ancient city, from Changmen in the east to Huqiu in the west, its has 3600 meters' length, which equals to 7 Chinese li. For this reason, it is named "Seven-mile-long Shantang". The construction of the site was presided by famous poet of Tang Dynasty, Bai Juyi. It has witnessed over 1000 years of history, and has became an important part of Suzhou ancient city. Photo/VCG
