Beijing, September 3 (Youth.cn) - 4 more Chinese projects were selected into World Heritage Irrigation Structures on the 75th Executive Council of the International Irrigation and Drainage Commission held in Sydney Australia on September 3rd (Beijing time). An irrigation system of wells connected by underground channel in Turpan, Huizhou Dam - Wuyuan rock dam (jointly declaration), Fengyan terrace in Hanyin and Xiu Mountain Jufeng weir in Chongqing were listed into the 11th batch of World Heritage Irrigation Structures List. By now, 38 heritage irrigation items in China are recognized by the assessment body. China therefore becomes the country that has the richest, widest, most effective heritage irrigation system.
